The 19th Cannabis Cup is being held in Amsterdam from November 19th to
the 23rd, 2006. High Times Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Steven Hager, founded the Cannabis Cup in 1987.
The following acts are booked to play at the Cannabis Cup this year:
The Kottonmouth Kings will be appearing at the
Melkweg on Sunday, November 19th
Muck Sticky will be appearing at the Melkweg on
Thursday, November 24th
If you want to see these acts, along with others that
will be added in the meantime, you must have a judges pass or be a competitor.
The Sugar Factory, located at Lijnbaansgracht 23B, is
where the registration will be held. Registration at the Sugar Factory will be open from 10am to 6pm, November 16, and 17. The registration
will also be open on the 19th at the Cannabis Cup Expo at 6pm. There will be long lines for registration, so it is suggested that
you do your best to register as early as possible.
You can purchase a judges pass for 200 euro, which
includes bus tours to the shops, t-shirt, program guide, admission to all ceremonies, concerts and seminars, and the right to vote. There are
various forms of payment for your convenience.

According to High Times Magazine, Only Amsterdam
coffeeshops and legitimate seed companies are allowed to enter. Coffeeshops are allowed to enter up to one cannabis strain, one imported hash,
and/or one nederhash. Seed companies are allowed to enter up to one mostly-sativa cannabis strain and/or one mostly-indica cannabis strain.
The fee is 1,000 euro for the first entry, 500 euro for the second, and 250 euro for the third.
If you want to enter in the competition, you must get
in contact with them no later than October 1, 2006. Anyone is allowed to enter the Glass Competition, but only exhibitors may enter the
Product Award Competition. If you want to register a product and get it on the ballot it costs 50 euros, and the same for a piece of glass.

Expo Passes will begin going on sale on November
20th, 2006 for 30 euros, and they are good for four days.
